Luc DE  JONGHE is a statement.                  A term in art, which appeals to  several generations.

The human character in general and” the nude”    in particular are for artists the most     fascinating inspiring sources and already as old as humanity itself. It is still that way today.                                                                                                                    The paintings of Luc the JONGHE reflect the visual strength of our bodies.  They show that composition, attitude and detail are often more important than abstract beauty.

For this reason, Luc DE JONGHE portrays his models such as they are… fascinated, conceited and worthy.

His exclusive contemporary style can be  directly recognized.                                                        His refined painting technique is exceptional.

ARTISTIC NUDE…  a renewed look on beauty.

Everything about the identity of artistic painter Luc DE  JONGHE is special.

The obstinate artist with a sodden ambitious preference for “nude” has already been in search of the visual strength of the human body and of the artistic portrayal of it for 25 years.

With the emphasis on individuality and seduction, Luc DE JONGHE wants to inspire the spectator especially to dream in the world of fantasy.

Titles are thereby unnecessary because the paintings tell and translate sufficiently what we see.

For the art lover, it is certainly worth discovering the nude in contemporary art.

25 years of PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE and already an individual character  in the painting art of Belgium.

The result of an unconditional passion and love for the profession.

The essence of  the DE JONGHE-style, which is embodied by timeless paintings, has originated during the years 1978 - 1982  at The Academy of Arts (Saint Lucas) and The Academy of Arts (K.A.S.K) in Ghent under the mastership of Jan Burssens, Karel Dierickx and Jean Bilquin.

In the course of the last twenty years Luc DE JONGHE has created his own style, with an authentic character, which testifies his obstinacy, that has developed into a notion in Belgian  painting.
